As a Smart City, Cyberjaya aims to promote greater sustainability and mass adoption of intelligent technologies to boost the growth of economic activities, in addition to enhancing urban living and lifestyle. While the offering of the entire cityscape as a Living Lab provides a platform for testing and validating new solutions that encompass key areas, including talent, accelerator, pilot, and enterprise.
Recently, Cyberview was given a mandate by the Government to develop three tech clusters in the areas of Smart Mobility, Smart Healthcare, and Digital Creative as part of a new masterplan for Cyberjaya. Situated within the South Innovation District of Cyberjaya, these clusters emphasize on leveraging digital and emerging technologies across entire value chains for the creation of smart mobility and smart healthcare solutions, as well as for the further development of an already thriving digital creative industry.
Part of a holistic way forward for Cyberjaya, the newly proposed masterplan will create a unique positioning for the city as a preferred tech investment location. The plan will see 6,960 acres of the city land area divided into four distinct zones; each with unique features and attributes to further enhance its offerings and opportunities. The new masterplan incorporates both the original intent for the city and its current role in accelerating Malaysia’s competitive advantage with the inclusion of emerging technologies.
