The CEO of Ban Lee Hin Group, Dato’ Tony Looi’s success was carved out of much dedication and hard work. Coming from a less privileged family, his upbringing was one of many losses and sacrifices. Many would have waver with a debt weighing down their shoulders but for Dato’ Tony, it had only ignited his vigor to succeed even more.
Possessing an extraordinary amount of energy and drive to succeed in life, he began working under many different steelwork’s masters, acquiring their skills and experience. At the age of 25, he returned to his family business. He took over the Managing Director position, establishing Ban Lee Hin Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd to what we know today.
However, success was still a far reach as Dato’ Tony had to face many setbacks to maintaining and growing the business. The success factor to Dato’ Tony is his drive to never give up. His strive to always improve himself led him to overcome his language barrier and lack of managerial knowledge.
The MBA certificate and Only Exemplar Leadership Award under his name are a show to his efforts. Dato’ Tony is the principle of hard work, dedication and perseverance, an inspirational leader whom many young inspiring entrepreneurs could look up to.
