Empowering the future of Malaysia’s businesses: C21 Metaverse Cities

Malaysia's Metaverse will empower businesses in the Metaverse and Web 3.0.

Kuala Lumpur — Bringing a new way for businesses to promote their brands and provide immersive virtual experiences through the Metaverse, Consortium 21 Sdn Bhd has officially kick-started its grand launching of C21 Metaverse Cities with a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC).

The signing ceremony was host on the 26th May 2022 at the EQ Hotel. The MOC was signed with numerous technology partners and business community: Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce (MDCC), Green-X, CatTHIS, SDS Associates, BLOCKWORQ, Peaky Technologies, and AttSpace Ventures.

C21 Metaverse Cities is the first Metaverse cities worldwide built by Consortium 21 to herald Web 3.0 implementations for businesses to complement their existing business models and marketing efforts.

The project stands for merchants and consumers alike with no requisition of expertise in the Metaverse or to be well-versed in blockchain technologies needed. It is also a representation of an opportunity for people across the globe to learn, earn, shop, and socialise.

The MOC is stated to provide the collaboration and technology needed to develop a Metaverse with sophisticated marketing analytics and Web 3.0 technologies.

As we’re still in the early stages of Web 3.0 and Metaverse, Consortium 21 firmly believes that the new technology will complement established models without disrupting their core fundamentals. The onboarding process for both consumers and merchants will first be Web 2.0-centric, with Web 3.0 technologies introduced and implemented in phases so that the experience is positive from the start.

Additionally, Consortium 21 has also announced exciting new projects in their pipeline to help push forward innovation. One of them is “World Halal City” Metaverse, which have already gathered tremendous support from major industry players, including corporations and Syariah-compliant financial platforms.
