Mah Sing targets for 100% vaccinated workforce by August 2021

Mah Sing targets to achieve the goal of 100% vaccinated employees by this August

Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) has set its sight to achieve a 100% of employees to be vaccinated by this August 2021. With the increased vaccination effort under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), Mah Sing has currently gotten 80% of its workforce at least the first dose of vaccination.

The various vaccination programmes engaged and applied for under the government and state initiatives covers over Property, Plastics and Healthcare divisions, including the Public-Private Partnership COVID-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (PIKAS), Program Vaksin Selangor (SelVAX) Industry, a mobile vaccination programme by the Federal Territories Ministry, and many others.

We believe vaccinations play one of the key roles towards the country’s economic recovery. It is extremely important to have a vaccinated workforce as businesses prepare to re-open and create confidence in order to welcome our customers once again.

The ongoing commitment towards a safe working environment when employees are once allowed by the government to return to work is also in the Group’s support to the newly immunisation target set by the government, expecting to have all adults in Malaysia to be fully vaccinated in October.

We also welcome the Government’s move to introduce the “Operation Surge Capacity” to accelerate the vaccination drive in Klang Valley, followed by the facilitation of the walk-in initiative in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor from 1 August 2021 for those who have yet to receive their vaccination appointment after the date, which is expect to see the vaccination rate ramped up further.

Mah Sing hopes that its efforts to play a part would spread encouragement to take up vaccination to other business associates and the masses to subsequently reduce the risk and possibility of COVID-19 being circulated at the workplaces.
