Putrajaya — On the 17th August was a day of appreciation for the Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham. The day was to commemorate frontliners fighting tirelessly in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham was awarded the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) presented by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al- Mustafa Billah Shah, in conjunction with the majesty’s birthday. He was also part of 11 other individuals that will carry the title of ‘Tan Sri’.

The ever-humble Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham took this opportunity to thank the country’s frontliners, calling the title, “a tribute to all the front line officers and behind the scenes of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM)”. He also reiterated that it was a “symbol of faith and government appreciation to civil servants.”
Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham has served as the Director-General of Health for 7 Years since March of 2013, succeeding Hasan Abdul Rahman. He has served alongside four Ministers of Health in Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai (2013), Datuk Seri Dr. Subramaniam Sathasivam (2013-2018), Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad (2018-2020) and Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham Baba (since 2020).
