BNC hosts the Silently Loud CSR Awards Night for the hearing-impaired

Business Networking Club of Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya held a fundraiser through an award night to support the Community Service Centre for the Deaf

The Business Networking Club of Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya (BNC) had recently hosted the Silently Loud CSR Awards Night 2022 in support of Silent Teddies Bakery’s Revitalising Building Project.

This endeavour is to raise RM250,000 for the Community Service Centre for the Deaf (CSCD). The fundraiser aims to develop a learning centre in support of hearing-impaired education specially entrepreneurship and vocational skill courses for youths in need, including educationally excluded PWDs. The vocational training given will be free for all hearing-impaired students.

The building will also have a bakery, café and arts/event space to cultivate the student’s entrepreneurial skills and independence.

The award night was hosted on the 26th October at the HGH Convention Centre. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards were given to deserving recipients throughout the night.

The Guests of Honour are HRH Sultanah Kaison and Yang Mulia Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi Bin Y.A.M. Other prominent figures of the event are Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj, Che Puan Hezeita Binti Muhammad Hafidz, H.E. Yasser Ibourk (Chief Regional of Political Affairs from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco), H.E. Ricardo Morote (Embassy of Peru), and H.E. Raul Sanchez, (Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Columbia).

Additionally, several MOU signing ceremonies were held with supporting companies of Silent Teddies Bakery. Their aid will be into providing job opportunities to the hearing-impaired individuals who have successfully attended their lessons and training at CSCD.
