During the grand unveiling, Tengku Datuk Seri Ahmad Shah Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, chairman of i-City Selangor, highlighted the significance of this breathtaking attraction. “SkyCity Tower transcends the ordinary; it’s a symbol of our visionary spirit and a key driver for our mission to make Visit Selangor 2025 a resounding success,” he stated. The tower is expected to draw an impressive five million visitors next year, both locally and internationally.

Opening on December 11, 2024, to coincide with the birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, SkyCity Tower promises to be more than just an architectural marvel. “With the tagline, ‘Swim in Sky. Fly on Water,’ we aim to offer an unforgettable experience to 2,000 visitors on our opening day alone,” Tengku Ahmad Shah announced.
Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, echoed this sentiment, expressing their confidence in SkyCity’s potential to boost the state’s tourism sector. “With attractions like SkyCity, City of Digital Lights, and top-tier accommodations such as DoubleTree by Hilton i-City and Best Western Hotel, i-City is set to be a cornerstone of Visit Selangor 2025,” he remarked.
