Delivering a powerful opening address, Mr. Ernie Chen, Chairman and Founder of PORTMAN Education Group, emphasised the disruptive vision behind the institution:

He showcased how PORTMAN University’s AI-powered model enables students to receive instant responses from professors and support teams at any time of the day, a world-first feature in higher education.
The event also highlighted PORTMAN Education Group’s commitment to accessible learning through a significant philanthropic gesture. The Yeoh Foundation, represented by President Dato’ Sri Matthew Yeoh and Vice President Joy Cheng, presented a USD 100,000 scholarship to support education initiatives across the Group, reinforcing the mission of expanding opportunities for learners globally.
The soft launch in Malaysia serves as the first step toward PORTMAN University’s official global debut in Chicago, USA, scheduled for October 2025.
