The medical forum titled “Approaches to Dementia Care & Management in Asia: The Diversity & Commonality” was successfully held on Saturday, 11 April 2026, bringing together a distinguished panel of regional and international experts at the Level 26 Auditorium, Menara Affin, Tun Razak Exchange, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Organised by Lions International and Lions Club Selangor Majestic, the forum served as a timely platform to explore diverse approaches to dementia care across Asia and to identify shared strategies to improve patient outcomes. Conducted in both English and Mandarin, the event fostered inclusive and meaningful dialogue among healthcare professionals and the wider community.

The forum opened with an official welcome address by Mr Hagenz Choo, Past President of Lions Club Selangor Majestic, setting the tone for an afternoon of insightful discussions and cross-border collaboration.
The forum featured a series of expert-led sessions, including presentations by Dr Pan-Miao Liu from The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Dr Surina Binti Zaman Huri of the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya, Clinical Associate Professor Simon Ting Kang Seng from the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore, and Professor Dr. Yuan-Han Yang of Kaohsiung Medical University, each offering valuable regional insights into dementia care and management. Complementing the discussions, Michelle Quah, Nutritionist at Eharta Global Sdn Bhd, highlighted the role of diet in supporting brain health.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Jaxon Ang, Founder of Eharta Global Sdn Bhd, who encapsulated the key takeaways from the forum and reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration in addressing dementia care across the region.

Bringing together a diverse lineup of speakers from Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Taiwan, the forum showcased a rich exchange of perspectives shaped by varied healthcare systems. This cross-border dialogue reinforced the forum’s central theme of recognising both the diversity and commonality in dementia care practices across Asia.
Beyond clinical discourse, the forum also played a vital role in raising public awareness, encouraging early intervention, and promoting a more holistic approach to dementia care, one that integrates medical, psychological, and lifestyle considerations.

Supported by Eharta Global and Neuglow, the event reflected a growing commitment to advancing cognitive health and public awareness. Lions International and Lions Club Selangor Majestic remain dedicated to championing impactful healthcare initiatives within the community. The successful execution of this forum marks another meaningful step in contributing to the advancement of public health discourse in the region.
