Today, we’re breaking down the top 10 richest women throughout Asia, from hoteliers to even property tycoons! From heiresses to self-made billionaires, their pockets are deep as these powerhouse ladies burn with passion for their life’s work, the causes they support, and the families they nurture.

These are the richest female Asians on the Forbes‘ billionaire 2021 list.

1. Yang Huiyan & Family

Topping this list is impressive enough, but Yang Huiyan is also the youngest here with a net worth of 29.6 billion USD (RM123.08billion).

She is the majority shareholder of Country Garden Holdings, a property development company based in Guangdong, China. Their extensive portfolio of developments covers a wide range of countries, among them being China, Malaysia and Australia.

Claiming the spot of the second richest woman and richest self-made woman is Chinese pharmaceutical executive Zhong Huijuan valued at 19.7 billion USD (RM 81.91 billion).

Zhong is the Founder, CEO and Chairperson of Hansoh Pharmaceuticals that produces antibiotics, cancer treatments, and psychotropic, endocrine, and gastrointestinal drugs. Her wealth has also grown significantly throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

3. Wu Yajun

Completing the top 3 of the richest women in Asia is Wu Yajun, with a nett worth of 18.73 billion USD (RM76.09 billion). Wu is the co-founder and chairman of Longfor Properties with investments in property development, commercial property, rental housing, smart service, housing agency service and housing decoration.

Wu had worked her way to the top, starting as a journalist and editor before moving into real estate in the 1990s, she later invested in technology companies such as Uber and Evernote.

4. Fan Hongwei & Family

In 4th spot we have Fan Hongwei, a Chinese entrepreneur valued at 18.2 billion USD (RM75.68 Billion) who is the chair and CEO of a chemical fiber company known as Hengli Petrochemicals. Hengli Petrochemicals focuses on the manufacturing rubber, plastic machineries and related components.

In 1994, Fan and her husband took a risk by taking a USD 463,000 dollar loan to purchase a then failing Wujiang Chemical Fibre Textile Factory into what it is today.

5. Zhou Qunfei & Family

Coming in fifth on our list is Chinese Technopreneur, Zhou Qunfei. Zhou is the founder of one of the Largest touchscreen makers, Lens Technologies.

Zhou is a classic story of an entrepreneur who went from rags to riches. She had started off working at a family-run firm making watch parts for 28 USD a month to eventually accumulate 15.4 Billion USD (RM64.03 Billion).

6. Kwong Siu-hing

The first woman on this list not from mainland China is Kwong Siu-hing. Kwong controls 41.53% of SHK Properties’ shares which gives her a wealth of 14.7 Billion USD (RM61.12 Billion).

SHK Properties emphasizes on the development of premium quality residential estates, offices, shopping malls and industrial buildings. As of today, Kwong is the 9th richest person in Hong Kong.

7. Lu Zhongfang

7th on this list of wealthiest entrepreneurs is our first edupreneur, Lu Zhongfang. Lu is the largest shareholder of Offcn Education Technology making her worth a whopping 12.5 Billion USD (RM61.12 Billion).

Offcn Education is an education company that services more than 3 million students each year. The Beijing-based business provides training to civil servants, teachers and others across more than 300 cities in China.

8. Wang Laichun

Lucky number 8 on this list goes to Wang Laichun, chairman of Luxshare Precision Industry. Luxshare is a company that produces electronic connectors with Apple being one of their main clients.

She had initially worked under Taiwanese billionaire Terry Gou’s Foxconn before joining her borther to buy Luxshare and transforming it into a billion dollar company, giving her a nett worth of 10.7 Billion USD (RM44.49 Billion).

9. Savitri Jindal & Family

Savitri Devi Jindral is the 8th entry on this list and only billionaire outside East Asia to feature on this List. Savitri is valued at 9.7 Billion USD (RM 40.33 Billion USD) and is the 19th richest person in India.

She is the Chairperson Emeritus of OP Jindal Group, one of India’s leading Business conglomerate, mainly concentrated on the manufacturing of Steel Pipes and Pipe Fittings.

10. Lam Wai Ying

Rounding up the top 10, We have Lam Wai-ying. This billionaire Business woman is the Chairman and Founder of Biel Crystal Manufactory with a total nett worth of 9.1 Billion USD (RM37.84 Billion).

Biel Crystal Manufactory is the manufacturer of touch screens for smartphones. They are also the largest supplier of glass screens for cell phones, tablets, and watches to Apple.
